Felipe is a writer and director with a bachelors degree in Communications from Florida International University. His passion for storytelling and film led him to his first project “They Prefer Richards” for which he won the Gold award for best first time director at the September 2022 Independent Shorts Awards. He is currently working on several short film projects, a pilot and a play. He resides in Miami Florida.
Alex Lugo is a second-generation actor, filmmaker, and founder of Vitruvian Films. Raised in a family of artists in Miami, Alex is the son of Daniel Lugo, a prominent Puerto Rican film and television actor. He trained at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting in NYC and is an alumnus of the American Theatre Wing’s SpringboardNYC program. In 2022, Alex won the Platinum Award for Best Actor at the Independent Shorts Awards for his portrayal of twin brothers Guy and Dre in the dark comedy short 'They Prefer Richards'. Aside from his creative pursuits, Alex graduated with a B.S. in Mathematics from Florida International University and is a Senior Software Engineer at Square, leading one of the company's Artificial Intelligence initiatives. In December 2023, he presented at the NYC AI Summit on the topic of Agentic AI, the next generation of Artificial Intelligence. His passion for acting and storytelling, coupled with his experience in tech culminated in his directorial debut, 'Project Penelope'. He currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia, and is represented by Atlanta Models & Talent (AMT).
Gloria Faron Podlecka is a film director based in Atlanta, born in Poland. Her work is marked by its unique aesthetic, inviting audiences to delve into narratives that transcend the superficial and touch upon the very essence of human existence. Director Chris Darna grew up in the Cincinnati area and moved to Atlanta shortly before high school. Here he found and nurtured a passion and love for both filmmaking and films alike. Throughout college, Chris worked on many student short films and when the opportunity presented itself to direct his own, he directed "A Mile in Your Skin". Chris has aspirations to continue working as a director and writer into the future.
Wes Tian is a 15-year-old artist from Chicago, Illinois. From a very young age, Wes has had a passion for writing, directing, and acting. Tian has starred on Disney+ TV series “Doogie Kamealoha M.D.” (2021-2023) as "Brian Patrick Kamealoha", as well as creating his own award winning films.
Liu Yihan studied at Zinzendorfschulen in Germany from April 2021 to July 2023. She is currently in Grade 13 of United World College.
Liu Yihan is currently engaged in film directing and screenwriting. Her works reflect the real appearance of the real world. Combining sociological, philosophical thoughts and film theories, she deconstructs the essence of interpersonal relationships and establishes an emotional connection with the audience in a delicate and real way. Through the combination of rhythmic camera language and scene scheduling with the plot, she discusses the essence of social power and intimate relationships from a unique perspective. These themes she discusses mostly occur in daily scenes. She hopes to provide a familiar field for discussing social topics for the audience with realistic authenticity and establish a connection with the audience. She pays attention to the innovation of film language and hopes to rebel and innovate traditional film techniques with philosophical reflection.
Josué has dedicated his life to the pursuit of living art. His father, Alfonso Panamá (1934-2021), was a legendary bassist and Afro-Cuban and Latin-Jazz music pioneer part of the Buena Vista Social Club generation of musicians - and often performed at the Palladium Ballroom in New York City.
Born and raised in New York, Josué grew up surrounded by renowned artists. He began formal classical piano training at five and was composing his own sonatas by 14, and earned a Master’s degree in Psychology of Music currently pursuing a PhD. In 2011, he moved to Eastern Europe, and has produced award-winning documentaries, short films, and soundtracks, film-scores and symphonies collaborating with world-class musicians, and has taught and presented his works in over 77 cities across five continents.
His newest works are two film-series pilots "Abortion Hypocrite" and "Influencer" which are out of post-production and currently being submitted to film-festivals internationally.

Donavan Richard, aka DonCartel, is a filmmaker fascinated by brutality in human relationships. Graduating in screenwriting from L'inis in 2015, he wrote two short films: Motel Paradise and Larry de la buanderie. Since then, he has founded his own digital content production company, "DonCartel inc.", where he puts his creativity to work on a variety of projects. Now equipped to tell stories, in 2023 he wrote, directed and produced his 1st independent short film, Le Chasseur, which was selected for 34 festivals around the world and won a few awards along the way. He is currently working on his 2nd short film, The Images Seller, which will have its world premiere at Fantasia in summer 2024, while preparing the production of his 3rd short film, Nightfall, which he will shoot in autumn 2024.
Carlee was born and raised in Miami, FL, and moved up to Atlanta, The Hollywood of The South, to pursue her filmmaking career. She is an actress, director, and writer, and studied theatre & media/communications at Florida State University.
This is Carlee's third short film! She previously made Check Six, a short that made it into a couple of festivals, and Winter's Year, an experimental short film that made a lot of motion at many local Atlanta film festivals this past year.
Erika Totoro is a stop-motion filmmaker from Westchester, New York. This is the second stop-motion short film she has written, directed, and produced at SCAD, with the first being a collaborative 10-week project titled “Wash Cycle” which wrapped production in Spring 2023. Before coming to SCAD, Erika was crafting clay miniatures in her basement where she made her first stop-motion short titled “Lonely” at 15 years old. The idea for Le Charade was inspired by a live-action mockumentary short film, also about a mime struggling with his identity, which she wrote, directed, and produced as a film counselor in upstate New York. Outside of Le Charade, Erika shares a deep passion for the medium, co-founding SCAD’s stop-motion club in 2022. Currently home to 400 members, she hopes to have made an impact on the animation community at SCAD and help share the impressive achievements of the department and Professor Nathan Asquith. After SCAD she hopes to continue making films, creating original ideas and bringing them to life through stop-motion animation.
Mira spent her childhood in Ethiopia and now calls Buffalo NY home. Before she even knew the alphabet she would tell stories to be written down and act out plays in the living room.
She started acting regionally and professionally at fourteen and wrote her first short film in a pocket notebook in line for a film festival and fell in love.

Aliyah Penelope Cruz and Isabella Moreno are the co-directors, amongst other roles, for the short film Scavengers. As first-time filmmakers and recent UCF Character Animation graduates, both Latin women put a lot of blood, sweat, tears, and joy into creating this film with their team. Saniya Mirwani is a filmmaker and writer based between New York, Toronto and Mumbai. She is the Founder and Executive Producer of Sherni Studios, a media collective that is on a mission to amplify underrepresented female voices through content and social activism in India. She also worked as a Creative Producer at honto88, where she has produced content for brands like Netflix, Hulu, Women’s Philanthropy Institute, Commit2Change, and Conscious Kid.
Most recently, she wrote and directed Any Given Night, a short dark comedy about women's safety on college campuses, that premiered at Berlin Art International Film Festival.
Katie Schneider is a 2D animator and designer from the Chicago area. She received her BFA in Communication Design from Washington University in St. Louis and is currently pursuing an MFA in Film and Animation at the Rochester Institute of Technology.
Katie carries her background in design into her work as an animator. Focusing on design principles and clear communication, she creates stories in semi-realistic worlds, usually with a twist of dark humor and fantasy. In her spare time, she likes to run, snack, and consume large amounts of media.
Hari Iyer is a writer and director based in Los Angeles. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh and a MFA in Filmmaking from the New York Film Academy. He now works as an Editor, working on various commercials, music videos, and films.
John Benjamin Terrell is a 19 year old filmmaker from Dallas, Texas. He is currently attending Biola University in La Mirada, California. Since early adolescence, Terrell has known he wanted to commit his life to cinema, and he hopes to impact audiences emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually with his films.
Veronika Tatar, originally from Hungary, moved to Miami in 2021 to pursue her filmmaking passion at Miami Dade College. Liz Lugo is a Puerto Rican writer and director, currently based in the state of Florida. She started writing short stories and poetry at the age of 11. Afterward, she earned a B.S. in Industrial Microbiology from the University of Puerto Rico, allowing her to explore her fervor for Cinema, Psychology, and Sociology. During that time, she wrote and directed a short psychological horror student film, "Lamentos del Silencio."
Following her passion for cinema, she pursued a certification in Professional Screenwriting from the UCLA School of Theater, Film, and Television, while she interned in Script Coverage for a London-based production company. She later partook in a TV writing workshop with writer and producer Gloria Calderon-Kellet. Subsequently, Liz earned an MFA in Professional Screenwriting in which she also had the chance to explore Production, Development, and Marketing. She has worked in productions as a Script Supervisor and 1st AD, where she has had the opportunity to work alongside Kathleen Bobak (Titanic 2nd AD). Each experience is an opportunity for her to learn, grow, and evolve into an exceptional filmmaker.
Shania Zhou and Julia Edwards are CG Generalists who are passionate about animation, storytelling, and artistry. They received their BFA's in computer animation from Ringling College of Art and Design in May 2024. As co-directors and close friends, they knew they wanted to create a special film together. Inspired by their own friendship over the past four years, Shania and Julia wrote "Rock". They hope that viewers have fun watching these characters' adventures, and will feel the joys of living.

Ian Wang is an emerging filmmaker from Taiwan. He graduated in the spring of 2024 from Asbury University with a BA in Media Communications: Film Production. Ian is a multitalented creative, using his eye for cinematography and mind for the edit to enhance his directing abilities. He loves telling stories that reflect a part of his own heartbeat, and Piece for Piece is no exception.
Robert Short is a husband & father born in Indianapolis, raised in Columbus, GA but now rides for the "A"(Atlanta). He is a dancer, actor, rapper, songwriter and has now added director and editor to his list of titles. He was afforded the opportunity to be a director and editor when working on the webseries, “Blackwell”, in which he was the lead actor and he never looked back. He has directed and edited music videos, actor reels and short films, with feature films and television shows on his radar. He acknowledges that being an actor first definitely helps him when he has his director hat on and being an editor helps him when he has his actor hat on. Robert’s passion for all of his gifts continues to grow with each project he’s fortunate to be a part of. He continues to perfect his craft, crediting hard work and God for every opportunity he has to use his talents and skills.

At 18 years old, Martin moved to the US, where he has been living since 2006. Leland Benford is an established director and editor with over ten years of experience in both narrative and commercial content. Through his years of experience, he has directed and edited several award-winning short films (The Novaks, Dear Sister, The Devil’s Room, Ice Pimp), a feature film (Empathy), and television episodes ( From Yard the Series, The Going Live Show Auditions). Leland leads by example as a communicative, collaborative, and focused director. Although his capabilities for direction and vision are vast, Leland passion lies in comedy. David is a director, director of photography, and producer based in Charleston, SC. His background includes branded content, creative strategy, 360/VR, documentary, and narrative filmmaking.
He earned an MFA in Film & TV from Savannah College of Art and Design and a BA in Advertising from the University of South Carolina.
Born in a family of doctors, including his father and older brother, Jung naturally assumed that becoming a doctor would be his destiny. However, his diverse interests, including a passion for manga, art design, writing, and oration, led him down a different path. It was drawing and writing his own manga story that was his first creative endeavor. Graduating from National Taiwan University’s Medical School, his foray into medicine ended during his clinical rotations, when he decided to enroll in the Applied Media Arts’ Master Program at the National Taiwan University of Arts.

When you are solely in front of the camera you get a bit of a pass as a creative. As an actor you are only as good as the material, or you receive grace because the project was a commercial, the production was rushed or low-budget. But it's different here, where I am making my own content and wear the hats of writer / director / editor / actor and producer, it's my skin in the game. And I like that.

Sergio Dapello (b. 1987, Lima, Perú) is an artist and animator currently residing in their hometown. Initially a college student of painting, they later embraced animation as a vibrant form of expression, creating colorful universes. As a co-founder of Tenis Studio, an animation studio with collaborations ranging from popular musicians to other media enterprises, Sergio's work can be found both within the studio's portfolio and independently. Notably, they have collaborated with Ironmouse and other renowned VTubers

Luigi Capasso is an Italian filmmaker based in Montreal.
After completing academic studies in painting and photography at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples, he moved to Canada in 2013, where he began working as a cinematographer and director.
In 2015, he founded Zoomlab, an independent audiovisual production studio dedicated to film creation.
He is currently in post-production on a new short film shot in Naples, scheduled for release in 2025, while simultaneously developing ideas for a future feature film. Through his work, Luigi Capasso explores cinema as a universal language, capable of delving into human emotions and reflecting the complexities and changes of the contemporary world.
Growing between the desert and grassland, on my age of 22, which was on 2021, I came to Los Angeles to study in MFA Film Production program in Loyola Marymount University. Yearning for freedom and unruly, I am brave and determined to pursue my beliefs and goals.
